Geothermal areas
The map shows the most accessible geothermal areas. They all have a variety of clay and water pools, surrounded by colorful deposits. The Geysir area (second from left) is the only one with a spouting hot spring.
NOTE: Great care should be taken when approaching geothermal pools as the ground nearby may be unstable and the water is very hot.
